Consultations are vital, as they help the customer, as well as the stylist, communicate so expectations can be met. During the consultation, you will learn that many things can come into play when applying color to hair, some of which include aesthetics such as skin tone, the health of your hair, hair length, types of color previously used, and regrowth of old color. These factors can have a large impact on the results when lifting color or changing pigmentation. Color can take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours, depending on the amount of change, and possibly multiple visits to achieve the desired color. These factors may also have an effect on length of time and pricing. Pricing will be discussed during this time so there are no surprises when you check out.

On the day of your color application appointment, it is important not to wash your hair the day before. Your natural oils help protect your hair and scalp. During the color process your hair will go through several stages of color development before the desired results, and at the end, a haircut is important to maintain healthy hair.

To maximize the life of the color, follow the stylist’s instructions and use the proper shampoo and conditioner. Many over-the-counter shampoos and conditioners will strip the hair of color and decrease the time in between color appointments. Hair regrowth and color fade is common and for some, that can occur between four and six weeks after the initial appointment.

We make it our mission for you to leave feeling satisfied and beautiful, so please don’t hesitate to ask any questions before you leave and share the new you with family and loved ones.
